Not A Declaration Of Adoration July 4, 2025

Not A Declaration Of Adoration

This document was written in direct response to the actions of the current presidential administration, the abdication of congressional authority and the failure of the 119th Congress of the United States to fulfill its duty to the people of the United States, the Constitution and their refusal to hold this president, his secretaries and his staff accountable for their lawlessness, making a mockery of our laws, our processes and our nation.

The name of this document was chosen purposefully to mock the ignorance of the current president of the United States for not knowing what the Declaration of Independence is, the meaning of it, or why the document was written in the first place. (Despite it hanging on the wall behind his desk)

July 4, 2025

When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for a people to reaffirm the sacred bonds that unite them and to assert the eternal principles that safeguard their liberty, a solemn respect for the conscience of humanity demands that they declare the causes which compel them to this righteous act.

We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all people are created equal, endowed by their inherent dignity with inalienable rights, among them life, liberty, justice, and the pursuit of happiness; that governments are instituted among people, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that whenever any government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right and duty of the people to alter or renew it, laying its foundation on principles and organizing its powers to secure the safety and flourishing of all.

The history of recent years reveals a relentless pattern of injuries and usurpations, eroding the liberties, unity, and common welfare of these United States. Among these, the passage of pernicious legislation that will have adverse effects, enacted with reckless haste, exemplifies a broader betrayal of the public good. To prove this, let these facts be submitted to a candid world—

I. The lavishing of tax relief upon the wealthiest and corporations widens the chasm of economic inequality, abandons working families, and shackles future generations with ruinous debt.

II. The slashing of access to healthcare through cuts to Medicaid and vital protections imperils children, the elderly, and the disabled with callous disregard.

III. The elevation of border security over humane immigration policies sows fear and division where fellowship should prevail.

IV. The trampling of state sovereignty through imposed restrictions, such as a moratorium on artificial intelligence regulations, stifles innovation and local self-governance.

V. The passage of this legislation, deliberately timed to defile our most sacred national holiday, betrays the very soul of our republic’s deliberative ideals.

VI. The insidious design of this legislation, crafted to unleash its most malignant effects under the next administration and Congress, deceitfully misattributes responsibility for its devastation onto those who inherit its wreckage.

VII. The imposition of sweeping tariffs, levied with reckless abandon, burdens the people with hidden taxes, inflates costs, and devastates livelihoods.

VIII. The erosion of workers’ rights through gutted labor protections robs workers of fair wages and safe conditions.

IX. The starvation of public education through chronic underfunding perpetuates inequality and denies youth their rightful opportunities.

X. The refusal to enact laws for the public good—such as affordable housing, equitable education, and universal healthcare—condemns millions to want and despair.

XI. The neglect of mental health services abandons countless souls to the ravages of addiction and hopelessness.

XII. The dismantling of environmental safeguards and clean energy initiatives hastens a climate catastrophe that threatens our planet’s very survival.

XIII. The exploitation of public lands for private gain desecrates our natural heritage and violates the rights of indigenous peoples.

XIV. The politicization of science, from pandemics to climate change, sacrifices reason and imperils public safety.

XV. The refusal to regulate emerging technologies, like artificial intelligence, invites societal harm and entrenches unchecked power.

XVI. The overreach of executive authority, cloaked in tyrannical ambition, erodes trust in governance and subverts constitutional checks and balances.

XVII. The corruption of executive power through the brazen acceptance of bribes and emoluments from foreign powers betrays the public trust and imperils national sovereignty.

XVIII. The legislative body’s craven surrender of its authority to a corrupt executive emboldens tyranny and forsakes its sacred oath to the people.

XIX. The legislative complicity in shielding executive malfeasance, through refusal to investigate or hold accountable, undermines the rule of law.

XX. The legislative acquiescence to executive decrees, bypassing the deliberative process of lawmaking, shatters the foundation of representative governance.

XXI. The tolerance of systemic corruption within legislative ranks, through unchecked lobbying and self-dealing, poisons the wellspring of public trust.

XXII. The legislative surrender of fiscal oversight, allowing the executive to plunder public funds with impunity, impoverishes the nation and enriches the corrupt.

XXIII. The denial of due process through arbitrary detentions and discriminatory enforcement violates the hallowed principles of justice.

XXIV. The imprisonment of individuals without cause and the rendition of persons to foreign lands for detention without trial betray the sacred rights of liberty and fairness.

XXV. The raising of military forces against citizens to quell lawful protests violates the sacred trust that the military serves the people, not their oppression.

XXVI. The failure to reform a broken criminal justice system perpetuates racial and economic disparities, imprisoning justice itself.

XXVII. The restriction of reproductive rights denies bodily autonomy and equal protection, trampling the liberties of millions.

These grievances, crowned by the vile betrayal of this nefarious legislation, reveal a government plundered by avarice and estranged from its people’s sacred covenant. We have voted, marched, petitioned, and pleaded, yet our cries are met with scorn or silence. The hour has come to proclaim our unyielding resolve to restore the soul of our nation.

Therefore, we, the assembled voices of a diverse and indomitable people, appealing to the conscience of the world, do solemnly publish and declare that these United States must recommit to the eternal principles of justice, equality, and liberty for all. We condemn the signing of this ruinous legislation on our cherished Independence Day as a vile desecration of the spirit of independence and a betrayal of the blood and dreams of our forebears. We pledge to:

Uphold Equity. Enact policies that uplift the marginalized, eradicate disparities, and forge opportunity for all.

Protect Liberty. Defend free speech, assembly, and belief, while standing resolute against the tides of tyranny.

Secure the Future. Confront climate change, preserve our heritage, and secure enduring prosperity.

Strengthen Democracy. Restore trust through transparency, accountability, and the sanctity of universal voting rights.

Foster Unity. Reject the venom of fear and division, embracing our shared humanity and boundless diversity.

In support of this Declaration, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fidelity, and our sacred honor. Let this Fourth of July, 2025, ignite the rebirth of our commitment to a more perfect union, wresting the sanctity of this day from those who would defile it. We summon all who cherish freedom to join us, that together we may forge a future radiant with our highest aspirations.

Signed by the People of these United States, in the hallowed spirit of our beginnings, for the hope of our future generations. ~ ACC
